The PESTKILL Australia Inspection Report provides you with a detailed view of timber pest activity on your property at the time of inspection. Areas conducive to timber pest activity and areas of current timber pest activity and/or damage to your property are identified.

All PESTKILL Australia Inspection Reports are conducted to the Australian Standard™ for Detection and Management of Termites, A.S. 3660 – 2000.

Borers and Wood Decay: PESTKILL Australia inspectors also report on the activity of Borers and Wood Decay, both serious and costly pests of timber in service. As required by A.S.3660 – 2000 your PESTKILL Australia Inspection Report is a visual inspection only (non-intrusive and non-damaging) of all accessible areas and timbers to identify active (live) timber pest infestations, evidence of timber pest damage and any conditions conducive to timber pest attack.

Activity and/or Damage: Property areas typically visually inspected for activity of and/or damage by termites, borers and wood decay include:

• Sub-floor spaces and voids
• Fences, landscaping timbers, yards, trees and stumps
• Garage and Garden shed
• Exterior wall surfaces of the house
• Interior walls, floors and ceilings
• Roof spaces and voids

Conducive Conditions: Your PESTKILL Australia Inspection Report will also identify those areas of your property that are highly conducive to timber pest attack. Your inspector will then recommend appropriate management strategies to assist you in lowering your risk of timber pest infestation. Conditions conducive to timber pest infestations and damage may include:

• Living in most areas of most states and territories in Australia
• Concealed and/or restricted areas such as inaccessible roof cavities, enclosed patios, excessive storage to areas.
• Formwork timbers in the subfloor (should be removed if possible)
• Earth in contact with untreated timbers
• Leaking plumbing
• Subfloor drainage and ventilation issues
